HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTION                                                                        

New Tyler Barber College, Inc. was established September 24,1979 and began training students on October 1, 1979 and became incorporated under the laws of the State of  Arkansas on January 10, 1980.  The registered office is located at 1221 East 7th Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114. 

New Tyler Barber College, Inc. opened with only one (1) student, fifteen (15) chairs and fifteen (15) shampoo bowls and within three months enrollment had reached eight (8) students. 

New Tyler Barber College, Inc. currently has forty (40) chairs, twenty-four (24) shampoo bowls and twelve (12) dryers and is averaging about sixty (60) students.

Since opening New Tyler Barber College, Inc. has trained (100's) of students who have graduated and are placed in the State of Arkansas as well as in other States.

ACCREDITATIONS

New Tyler Barber College, Inc. is accreditated by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally accrediting agency.

New Tyler Barber College, Inc. is licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Barber Examiners to provide training for barbers in the State of Arkansas.
